Episode 46 How limiting beliefs are holding you back
I think about all that has gone on and that continues to go on for the past year and it seems almost overwhelming when you think about all the change and pivots we have all had to do.
Despite this, I believe great things can happen… huge, stupendous things!
There is one thought that always keeps me going when I wonder if my aspirations are too much….
“There is always a way you just have to find it.”
This is a mantra I have said since I was a kid. I have no idea where it came from but I can look back and see it is my cure to any limiting beliefs that come my way (either internally or from someone else).

Episode 44: Your Shadow Self
Yin and Yang. Light and dark. We need contrast to appreciate the light.
We need opposites for balance to occur.
Opposing forces keep our world from falling apart. Eternal sunny days may sound lovely but we need the rain. The rain is our dark moments, the emotions we don’t want. And yet the rain is a vital ingredient that allows the earth to flourish when the sun comes out.
We need our shadow selves and yet we lock this aspect away when others are around. We even lock it away from ourselves.
We act almost as if this aspect of ourselves is a distorted family member locked in a closet because we are ashamed and embarrassed of the way he acts and presents himself.
Yet the shadow self is worthy on so many levels and today we are talking about why and how you can embrace and even be proud of him.
I spoke of a coin. Light on one side. Shadow the other. One embraced and the other ignored and shunned. But it is the same coin. And every coin is a gift. Sometimes a coin is presented to us with the light side. We grab it, hold it near and usually are happy to show the world.
But most times we are presented coins with shadow showing. We cower from it. Disgusted with what we just saw in ourselves and we try to throw it away. But it is our coin and cannot be discarded and so it returns. Eventually we shove it in the bottom of our back packs to carry round as the burden we see it as.
What if we took the time to learn to flip the coin and see the other side? Imagine if all the negativity you see in you could in fact be gifts that you have not harnessed yet?
The shadow self is a gift.
Apocalypse: a “revelation”, “an unveiling or unfolding of things not previously known and which could not be known apart from the unveiling.”
Many say we are in an apocalypse right now, and I would have to agree. The world is not coming to an end but the veil is being lifted and all the things that where hidden or easy to ignore are now coming into the spotlight…. And it is uncomfortable. And it’s painful.
But just because a festering wound is covered up, doesn’t mean it isn’t there. As we uncover these wounds in our society and our world, we are exposing them and allowing the opportunity for healing to begin. Some wounds are bigger and deeper than others and as such, will take a longer time and more resources than others.
It is not the world apocalypse that I want to talk about today however. Today, I want to talk about our internal apocalypse, because without the internal apocalypse happening, the wounds that are exposed in our external world will not heal.
Our routines were shaken up in recent months, many of us have found the veil lifted on all manner of false beliefs and patterns. And with this happening, many have hungered for normal life to resume so that they can busy themselves and forget what came up in the quiet that was enforced on them.
This is not a good thing. With life now returning to some semblance of normality, we run the risk of stalling the internal apocalypse that has begun…. And in my eyes that is a missed opportunity for healing and thus creating a better life for ourselves on the other side of this apocalypse.

Do you love and respect yourself enough to stand up and celebrate what you have accomplished?
And if so, do you love and respect yourself enough to be OK and even enjoy the seasons where you are not productive?
There are seasons of life and we cycle through them whether we like it or not.
There are seasons of hustle, action, productivity and creative output and then seasons of introspection, hermitting and incubation.
There are seasons of wins and successes and there are seasons of failure and difficult learnings.
All seasons are equally important and necessary in the support of its counterpart. And YET….. we tend to value some over the others. We shy away from the darker seasons, afraid to fully surrender to them.
To love yourself wholly, is to love yourself during all of the seasons throughout the cycles you live.

I am sitting outside, wrapped in blankets as I do my morning meditation. I feel pretty content. I am excited, optimistic and full of quiet hope for what is evolving in this beautiful world of ours.
We are in changing times and my work is to remain balanced, grounded and to keep my head from being influenced too much from the extreme opinions on a range of topics, which have much energy behind them right now.
I also feel a whisper in my ear to share this awareness with those ready to listen. Clarity and truth are what I seek to perceive and to keep the knowledge front and centre that everything put out into the world goes through the filter of that person’s beliefs and that I also receive through a filter of my own bias.
As autonomous human beings we need to give ourselves the time to sort our thoughts and beliefs and to ask the questions
Is this true?
Could the opposite be true?
The way I feel about this thing…. Is it because of how I truly feel or have I taken on board someone else’s agenda?

When I asked in our Aromanosis group about what subjects everyone is interested in, there was an overwhelming response that Abundance Mindset was a topic that is wanted.
I have to tell you, this makes my heart so so glad! Because two years ago, the importance mindset plays on our external realities was not really a mainstream subject. In our current reality, however, more and more of us are waking up and taking back control over our minds and lives.
In this episode I dig into what it means to have either a scarcity or abundance mindset and by the end of it, I want you to have a really good idea of where you sit on the sliding scale of abundance and scarcity.
Personal development is about learning how to go within, what is within, how to change what is within and THEN creating change in our external realities.
Why are we all so afraid to be ourselves? This is the biggest fear I see time and time again. And I get it because I have felt it too and releasing it was both the most terrifying thing I have ever done as well as the most liberating. There is a lightness that comes about when you make a firm decision to never act in a certain way or be a certain thing for fear of someone else not approving…
